  1. The name of this society shall be the Society for Stimulus Properties of Drugs (SSPD).

  2. The purpose of SSPD will be to encourage the dev-elopment of teaching and research, both basic and applied, relevant to understanding the stimulus proper-ties of drugs (SPD). To accomplish this goal, the society will schedule meetings and undertake publica-tions for the exchange of scientific information regarding SPD.

  3. Research on all aspects of stimulus properties of drugs shall be included in the society proceedings. Speci-fically included will be research on the actions of drugs as discriminative stimuli, contextual stimuli (state-dependent learning), conditioned stimuli, and unconditioned stimuli. Research on reinforcing proper-ties of drugs generally will be reported at other societies such as ISGIDAR that have been developed for that purpose.
